Sourcing market leading experts from across the sporting landscape, the quality of the new Subject Matter Experts further positions Mummu’s Advisory practice as one of the premier advisory organisations in the elite sports market.
Each new recruit brings a wealth of specific sports market experience and expertise which will broaden the areas of Mummu’s practice and add significant value to Mummu Sport’s existing and future client base. The Subject Matter Experts and their areas of expertise are as follows:
Ron Gauci – (Crisis Management and Senior Executive & Board Leadership);
Peter Singer – (Negotiation Strategist and Dispute Mediator); and
Tim Cherry – (Sponsorship, Business Development and Sales)
Ron Gauci is best known as the former Chief Executive & Managing Director of the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club and was responsible for leading the organisation out of its lowest ebb following the salary cap scandal of 2009. Ron is regarded as one of the premier senior sports executive’s in the country, with unique and enviable experience at the highest levels of professional sport in Australia. Previously Gauci held senior management and executive positions in some of the world’s largest multinational and domestic technology organisations including Microsoft and Telstra.
Peter Singer has built an exceptional reputation in Negotiation Strategy, Mediation and Problem Solving for businesses and people facing deadlock, impasse or stalemate in critical situations.
Holding a Masters in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution and having attended the highly respected Harvard Program on Negotiation, Peter will provide Mummu Advisory clients expertise of negotiation planning and strategy, mediation, facilitation and policy making as well as a service mentoring people through conflict. Peter is a mediator / negotiator to a number of sporting bodies throughout Australia.
A renowned member of the Australian sporting community, Tim Cherry brings senior level executive experience spanning the finance, sport and media sectors, Tim is highly competent in developing strategies to solve business problems as well as the tools to inspire, innovate and drive growth for brands. Tim has played a key role in the commercial growth of some of Australia’s biggest sporting organisations including the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, Essendon Football Club and the Melbourne Tigers Basketball Club.
These exciting additions to Mummu Sport join recent recruit, former Olympian and World Champion and Victorian State Government representative Kirstie Marshall OAM who has assumed a Subject Matter Expert role in the area of Government Funding and Governance.
