Global sports travel and commercialisation specialists, Mummu Sport have placed in the 2015 Smart50 Awards list of growing SMEs in Australia.

The Smart50 list, which has been published by SmartCompany for the past eight years, ranks Australia’s 50 fastest-growing SMEs in the 20014-15 financial year by their average annual revenue growth over the past three years.

“Small businesses are one of Australia’s largest employers and are critical to the lifeblood of our economy and our community,” says Small business minister Kelly O’Dwyer.

Mummu Sport, which was established in 2010, placed 32nd among 49 other innovative and aggressive businesses in several different industries.

“To be placed in the top 10 is such an outstanding result for us,” says Mummu Sport CEO Marcel Berger.

“The company has gone from strength to strength in the past three years and it’s fantastic to get some recognition for that.

“We’re starting to make a name for ourselves in the global sports industry as innovative, success driven partners and 2015 was a testament to that with the success of two major events, Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 and the 2015 UCI Road World Championships in Richmond, Virginia. It was a busy year with events on opposite side of the world but our team rose to the occasion and we are now ready to tackle the 2016 Tour de France and other major events in Europe and the USA”

To be eligible for the Smart50 Awards, companies must have more than $500,000 in annual revenue. Mummu Sport, which posted growth of 166% over the past three financial years, was the only sports services company to make the list.
