UCI Travel Teams Up With Tour Of Beijing

UCI Travel is pleased to be a part of the UCI WorldTour’s, 2012 Tour of Beijing team, for its second consecutive year.

Working closely with Pro Cycling Teams, Cycling Federations and cycling fans has given UCI Travel a deep understanding of the specific travel and logistic needs of cycling organisations. This knowledge has allowed UCI Travel to provide cost effective and comfortable travel solutions to all Pro Teams and operational staff for the Tour of Beijing, managing over 400 flights from all corners of the globe.

Marcel Berger, Director of UCI Travel said, “Following the success of The Tour of Beijing in 2011, UCI Travel is excited to grow our relationship with Global Cycling Promotion (GCP), the official organisers of the Tour of Beijing, as we manage all team and staff travel for the event.”

“The Tour Of Beijing is testimony to the GCP’s commitment to globalise the sport of road cycling and we are looking forward to working with them in the future,” he said.

With all 18 ProTeams competing with leading riders, this year’s race promises to be world class.

GCP was established as a subsidiary to the world’s largest cycling body the Union Cycliste International (UCI). Since its establishment in 2011, GCP has launched a new global race on the ProTour every year, with the Tour of Beijing the final Pro Tour event for the season.
